Our DivestNJ campaign is focused on New Jersey's "Public Employees' Retirement System" and the investments it makes to fund the pensions of state workers, including teachers, firefighters, police, and others. Our goal is to prompt divestment from fossil fuel holdings (such as Exxon-Mobil), because those holdings pose moral contradictions and are at risk of value loss in the future as the world de-carbonizes.

If you live in NJ please email and/or call your legislator to sponsor

the Fossil Fuel Divestment Act S416 / A1733, a bill that would mandate

the New Jersey State Investment Council (they are in charge of the pension)

to divest from the top 200 publicly traded fossil fuel companies.
